KATAHDIN WOODS & WATERS NATIONAL MONUMENT
We’ve had ourselves quite a few adventures in Maine, but there’s something truly special about this stretch of the North Maine Woods, along the Penobscot river and up and over the hills overlooking Baxter State Park. There’s so much wild hiking, canoeing, camping under the stars and ancient trees, fishing the lakes and rivers, and reveling under the Maine dark sky.
