The
Transatlantic
Way
When our good friends Brad and Matt told us they were training for the Transatlantic Way Race our very first thought was: this is gonna be a helluva ride. So, we talked them into documenting it and bought ourselves a few flights before they ever had the chance to pause or think twice.
The TWR is a race all its own. It’s a fast-as-you-can 1,500 mile hustle and a self-supported bike-packing race from Dublin to Cork. It unfolds on the infamous Wild Atlantic Way, a road as scenic as it is treacherous with a reputation for taking no prisoners. It’s a pure test of mettle in a fairytale landscape – a juxtaposition of guts and grind with the lushest greenscapes in the world. Humbling, empowering, and all-around impressive, it was a personal project we’ll never forget. As for Brad and Matt, they snagged a first place finish. The cherry on top of an epic endeavor.
